Big Challenges, Bigger Possibilities is the underlying theme
for our focus in 2010 and we are kick-starting it now.
We borrowed it (with permission) from our friends at BIIG – the Queensland
"Business Improvement In Government" group. It is the theme for their April 2010 conference
we will be facilitating. It is great working with people motivated to
champion creativity as a way to improve and innovate in all areas.
For many, this year has been tough and, while more challenges lie ahead, we
believe the possibilities and opportunitiies will be even bigger.
As 2009 draws to a close, we have been imagining the future we want to help
create, in order to then engineer it into reality. This is the essence of the
Imagineering process, and we encourage you to take some time, before things get
too hectic, to do your own Imagineering for the year ahead.
And if you don’t think you really need to think about the future we suggest you
watch this 5 minute YouTube video. It's been viewed by almost 8,000,000 people.

“Limitations Live Only in our Minds...”
Jamie Paolinetti, champion cyclist and filmmaker said “Limitations live only in
our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless.”
What a magnificent way to look at things, and how perfectly it encapsulates the
focus Mindwerx and Buzan Centre: Aust/NZ brings to the work we do with clients,
colleagues and friends.
Leadership for creative possibilities is the way forward and in 2010 underpins
the programs, facilitations and products we will bring you.

But Wait – News Flash – Bill has gone Crazy….
We can't believe it. Bill has just said he wants 2010 to be the biggest year
ever for people participating in Mindwerx and Buzan Centre: Aust/NZ programs.
So he has said that anyone who wants to
attend any of the half-day Open Programs in 2010, and books and pays before
the end of December 2009, is to get a very special (we think crazy)
price of only $99 (inc GST) per program
rather than the normal $295.
That is an unbelievable Offer – you can
attend one, two or even all our available half-day programs anytime in 2010 and
pay just $99 per program.
That is
three Mindwerx or Buzan Centre: Aust/NZ
programs for the price of one. Heck, you can bring your whole gang
along for less than it would cost to have us come and run something in-house for
you. This may send us broke – but Bill is insisting we do it.
Read more to see how you can take up this offer.

Imagineering
Walt Disney said “It’s fun doing the impossible.”
In many ways doing the
impossible begins with imagination,
backed up with deliberate action to engineer
the vision into reality – what is called Imagineering.
While this is easily explained and not difficult to understand, we know from our
own experience it can be tough to do.
Read more and watch an 18 minute eLesson on how you can turn the power of
visualisation into success.

Largest Hand-Drawn Mind Map
This week the Mindwerx gang were at the Mind and Its Potential Conference in
Sydney, where more than 2,000 people gathered to understand how the mind works and
how its amazing potential can be realised. Speakers and participants came from
all over Australia, New Zealand and Internationally.
Our contribution was to oversee the creation of the largest
hand-drawn conference Mind Map in the world – a Mega Mind Map outlining the
messages from many of the speakers and capturing the flow of participants'
thinking.
Hundreds of people contributed to the Mega Mind Map, which
when completed was 7.2 x 4.8 metres (23 feet 7.5 inches by 15 feet 9 inches).
(It also qualifies as the largest Hand-drawn Mind Map in Australia!)
The aim was to develop a massive memory aid of this significant gathering and
create conversations around the key themes.
Watch How it grew and grew and grew.

Buzan’s Study Skills Program
The Shortcut to Successful Studies for students, adults returning to study at
any level, and those attending corporate education.
With the increasing demand on everyone to know more and do more, whether at
school, at work or in business, we are seeing too many people having trouble
managing information overload.
For years we have run a very successful Study
Skills for Students course aimed primarily at Secondary Students.
But we now see demand for something for Junior High students as well.
Parents of young and older children are seeking to learn how to learn so they
can really help their kids.
And more and more we are getting calls from Adults
who have gone back to study another degree or do an MBA, and even from business
people who want to get more out of the corporate programs they attend.
What they are all saying is they want a program that gives them an advantage in
their study – a program with all the best bits of our various programs tailored
into something special. So we have built it.
Read more about this remarkable new program…
The first program for 2010 starts on 16 January before school year starts, so get some more information
and download the Information Sheet and Booking Form now.

BVo.com – The Business Voice
Those of you following us on Twitter - http://twitter.com/fuzz2buzz and http://twitter.com/Bill_Jarrard
will know we recently discovered a fantastic new website
www.bvo.com
the Business Voice, created by Anthony Gell.
Presenting an inspiring variety of thought leaders BVo.com surpasses other
websites of this type, (except probably www.TED.com, which has been going much longer).
We like many things about BVo.com – the quality of the videos, Anthony’s
interviewing style, the excellence of the questions and discussion, and that
fact that we are not only seeing some of the well known names (de Bono, Peters,
Goleman) but also meet real leaders in a wide variety of fields.
Bill particularly liked the conversation with Tom Peters where Peters says that
"despite the libraries full of books on innovation, the one real source of
innovation is ‘pis$ed off people’. "
Read more and then check out BVo.com
