4. How to write on the screen/slide during a Powerpoint Presentation
Many people wanted to know how I was able to write on the Powerpoint slide during the presentation.
  • I have a Fujitsu Tablet PC which allows me to use a Pen to write on the screen – I have found this an invaluable tool for increasing audience engagement and being able to show information to everyone rather than using butchers paper which can be hard to see from the back of the room.
  • Every version of Powerpoint has the basic ability to draw on the screen using your mouse.
  • Hover your mouse over the left hand bottom corner of the slide while in slide show mode.
  • Click on the pencil icon and activate the pen/highlighter.
  • You can easily draw arrows and highlight text with the mouse.
  • Practice using the mouse to write words
Handy tips – Press “E” to erase new ink on the screen. Press “W” to activate a temporary whiteboard

5. Copy of Powerpoint presentation – how not to make it death by Powerpoint

Our Brain works on Imagination and Association – so when presenting / communicating you should use images and key words. This is the basis for Mind Maps which are a quick and easy way to develop your presentation, give as a handoud and actually present to an audience.
Also, a good book for trainers or anyone who wants to present in a brain friendly way is “Presentation Zen” by Garr Reynolds.
